The initial stage in producing cylindrical tubesinvolves cutting large rolls of kraft paper into nar-rower strips. Biggest diameter mold is 22inch,small-est diameter is1/2inch. Multiple strips may be com-bined and fed onto a mandrel to form the sides ofthe tube. Typically, sturdy and durable kraft paper isutilized to ensure the tube remains rigid and robust.

Before being wound onto the mandrel, the paper ribbons go through an adhesive bath—a cascading gluing system that applies glue to each layer. The winder continuously pulls and wraps the ribbons around the mandrel to form a spirally wound tube. The mandrel determines the inner diameter (ID) of the tube, which is then cut to length.

After winding, as all the layers of paper around themandrel still wet, our heating room will accumulatethe drying of glue, so the tube can easily get sturdy.

One long tube cut into several short pieces. Then wecan proceed with wrapping printed paper. Or onelong printed tubes cut into pieces, usually 2 or 3pieces to save printing or finish cost.
