A KEY TO PROJECT SUCCESS After design validation and production department , you properly need to check a physical sample before bulk order. Pre-production process proceeds in several ways: Ready-made sample to assess the quality, digital printing sample with finishes to touch and feel the product features, also test the compartments or structure. Offset printing sample is same as bulk order’s, including colors, finishes, material, sizes, compartments. That is for signed-off contract after all the details confirmed.
Facility Base
Our factory UCPACK is based in Dongguan city, close to Guangzhou or Shenzhen, Guangdong province, China. With over 10000 Square meters, 230 workers and full facility to produce paper packaging in our own house, internal quality control system and 3000 square meters for housing and co-packing.

Pre-Production Sample Matters
Even for a single pre-production, it goes through almost same procedure as mass production, you will receive the sample with the same standard of quality, craftmanship as mass production.

Routine of Our Everyday Work

Preparation for assembling
- Raw material tailored
- Printing: PMS or CMYK Printing
- Finishing: spot UV, lamination, hot/cold stamped, embossing/debossing, glittering ect
- Die cutting: cutting the outline and shaping the scorelines
- Standard cutting: Sizing and trimming of paper and board workplaces
Luxury Rigid Box Making
- V-Grooving: Make the box edge sharp and straight, including the box tray too. V grooving can work on 300gsm whiteboard paper to 1800gsm greyboard, 90 degree to 120 degree.
- Die cutting: Die-cutting machines precisely cut materials for the box components, including the main structure, lids, and inserts. Automated cutting ensures uniformity across thousands of units.
- Box Assembly: The rigid board structure is wrapped with printed and decorated paper or fabric using high-speed wrapping machines or hand. Automated folding and gluing lines ensure the boxes are constructed seamlessly and securely, achieving perfect corners and edges.
- Custom Inserts: Foam, cardboard, or velvet materials are cut to fit the product snugly, or paper covered on blister, paper covered on foam, velvet coated on foam or paper combined with logo printed.Inserts are glued or fixed into the boxes using precision machinery, ensuring consistent placement.
- Hand Processing: Collect the compartments of luxury boxes together like the lid, the base and inner box 3 pieces together by hand, place the inserts, clean the glue mark and so on. In all, put all pieces together to make a premium packaging.
Luxury Paper Bag Making
- Bag Body: Premium papers printed and finishes coated on, we will glue and assemble by hand or semi-automatic. machine, both clean front and back without any waist lines.
- Glued handles: Fold over at the top, we use hand to strongly glue the inserts and handles together to carry a heavy weight.
- Assembly by hand: For reinforcements or special shape of bag body, we will assembly by hand after diecutting.
- Bottom closure: mostly of bag’s bottoms finished by hands for thick paper board over 250gsm, along with some machines to make bottom reinforcement.

Complementary Products
- Luxury stationery: special envelopes, paper folders, greeting cards, swatch books. They are glued band crafted by hand.
- Tissue Papers, foam, blister, paperfillers, ribbons, paper pulp are outsourced with quality control to meet requirement.
Luxury Finishes
- Hot/Cold Stamp: Hot stamp is application of metallic or colored oil to the paper surface using blocking dies. Cold stamp is sort of varnish coated with metallic foil color. Hot stamp is not easy to coat on the soft-touch lamination, while cold stamp can work. Cold stamp is biodegradable, while hot stamp negative.
- Edge Painting or Gilding: Adding color, metallic foil, or textured finishes to the edges of packaging as some edge is not straight. While the edge is scurf, we have to diecut the papers into pieces and wrap over the edge, the insides are low quality. But edge painting and solve this issue with same color as the papers.
- Texture paper: Specialty papers with unique textures like linen, leather, or woodgrain to add depth and character, we can customize the texture with machine.
- Laser Etching: Adds precise, intricate details directly onto packaging surfaces without additional materials. It is mostly applied when the die cutting can not work.
- Three-Dimensional UV Printing or 3D UV Coating, a cutting-edge printing technology used in luxury packaging, branding, and design. It combines traditional UV printing with raised, textured effects to create a tactile and visually appealing surface.
